We’re glad to inform you about our live keyboardplayer. His name is Erik van Ittersum. We welcome him to our band. And we are looking forward to perform with him on stage. A bandmember page with more information about Erik will be online soon.
But as Erik joined our forces. Bas ter Meer left us, because he was too busy to go on with the band.
Bas; We’d like to thank you for the years you spend with us.And we wish you all the best.
So we are still looking for a replacement. Some auditions will be held soon.
We’ll keep you informed.
Voice recordings finished-Ruben joins Revamp

The last recordings of Karen’s vocals were finished in February. So our EP will be ready soon!
But we have not just one news item for you.
Ruben joined the band Revamp of Floor Jansen. He will not leave Insomnia, but as Ruben will be busy with Revamp as well, we need someone to fill in for him at our live shows.
We can’t tell you about the new keyboard player yet. Because we have some auditions ahead. But we’ll keep you posted!

Studio report #2 (november27)

Hi again!
As we are trying to get these recordings finished within a time limit of two days, we have started our, hopefully, last day of recording. Yesterday went very well, we finished recording the drums, bass and one of the guitars well within the time we'd set for it. Seen as we are recording in two studio's at the same time, using one control room, we were able to beat the clock and get a live feel to the whole thing. To explain exactly how we've done this, we will, among others, update a short clip of our time here.
After the whole instrumental ordeal we also got to make a start on the vocals recordings, which ofcourse is more my cup of tea. We got to finish Björn's vocals yesterday night ánd record some of mine. The rest of my vocals and the second guitar will be recorded today, in fact, Harm is recording his very first track of guitars at this very moment. This will be the first thing to finish today and then the rest of the day will be filled recording vocals, violin and perhaps some piano, depending on how much time we've got left and how well I do recording my parts *biting off nails*.
Anywho, we will be checking in on our website and myspace regularly the next couple of day to keep you updated so make sure you will be checking in on us!

Insomnia enters studio(studio report)!

Hey there!
We are currently in the Hilversum in the HKU studio's finetuning sounds to start the recording of our first EP that will be released around februari 2010. Yesterday was set-up day and today we're gonna record the first songs. We're all puffy-eyed and yawning because it was very late last night and very, very early this morning, but hey, we've got energy drink and coffee so we'll be right in no time.
Sooooo, we'll keep posting messages and probably some videos and photos the next couple of days so keep checking in on us on myspace,hyves or this website for more information and keep an eye and, especially, an ear open for our next EP, cause its gonna be freaking awesome!!!
